Meet Bill McGregor

I have been serving as your Port of Olympia Commissioner since 2006 and am working hard to increase economic development throughout Thurston County. I remain committed to the Olympia’s Farmers Market, Lacey and Tumwater re-developments, the airport, cargo diversity, Swantown Fuel Dock and the Port’s Small Cities Program. Besides bringing jobs, I encouraged the Port to conduct their first Greenhouse Gas Inventory and install solar panels on the Marine Terminal and the Tumwater’s Clearwater Center redevelopment.

Having 35 years of experience working for Washington Ports, a certified Port Manager and a degree in Transportation Logistics, I am also a 4 year veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Married for 38 years , with 35 of those years as Foster Parents, we have become strong advocates for children, helping to provide love and kindness to hundreds of children for “a night or two” or those who have “spent years” in our home.

I ask for your vote so we can shape the Port’s future with a continued emphasis on economic development, family wage jobs, enhanced environmental stewardship and open participatory government in all of Thurston County. A vote for me is a YES vote to continue achieving the above goals.
